Tell us a little about yourself?

I am a lawyer and grew up in London, my husband James is from the Cotswolds and very much happiest at home in the country. We live in Parsons Green and have a beautiful black lab called Sapphie who is the love of our lives!

How did you meet your Groom?

We met in a London pub, almost 6 years ago now, close to where my husband works and I was living at the time.

How did you come across The Mews?

Lots of friends have had beautiful dresses from The Mews, but all very different, so when we got engaged, I knew I wanted to see all the gowns.

What styles were you channeling whilst dress shopping?

I thought I would go for a quite lacy, bohemian dress but I then saw the dress I ended up buying – the Constance by Marie La Porte, on your Instagram and knew it was the one!

Tell us about finding your perfect Wedding dress?

My mother and I actually drove to Clifton in Bristol to see the dress as it wasn’t available at The Mews in Notting Hill at the time, and are so glad we did – I knew as soon as I put it on it was the one. And I went to university in Bristol so it felt like a lovely coincidence.

Where did your wedding day take place? Was there any themes or inspiration behind your day?

We got married in Withington in Gloucestershire, where my husband is from. The church is beautiful, and we were so pleased to marry there as he is the youngest and all his sisters have been married in that Church.

What did he wear?

A traditional morning suit. He also wore a yellow waistcoat and a beautiful pale blue tie my parents gave him for his 30th birthday.

What was your favourite detail of the day?

I can’t think of just one…truly, we had the best day of our lives. Everything from start to finish felt perfect!

What advise would you give out to a bride to be about finding the perfect dress?

Try different styles but when you have found the one you love don’t try too many more…its confusing and I definitely felt something when I tried the dress I chose that it was the right one.
